The winemaker

Founded in 1875, Maison TIFFON has retained its family character since its origins. The company is currently run by three grandsons of founder Sverre Braastad; the fifth generation since Médéric Tiffon. The family cultivates its vines, distills its white wine in its own stills in Jarnac, and ages its eaux-de-vie in its own ageing cellars. Over 15,000 barrels are patiently matured in a dozen different cellars. Magnificently situated on the banks of the Charente, the buildings house the distillery with its 10 stills, the blending and bottling cellars, and a small museum.
