Appellation Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The wines of Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux, which are exclusively red, are the fruit of a blend of 3 grape varieties: Merlot (the majority), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The temperate oceanic climate of the Bordeaux region and the clay-limestone and molasse soils give birth to this great Bordeaux wine. This appellation is part of the very famous Bordeaux wine region and is close to the famous Saint-Emilion. Château Clinet and Réaut are among the nuggets to be discovered. This expressive red wine with a fine tannic structure and aromas of plum, violet and leather should be served at 15-17°C. Game (wild boar...), red meat or cheese will reveal all the wonders of this great wine.
