Château de Panigon 2018 impresses at first glance with a markedly dense color and a brilliant violet hue. The nose is equally pleasing, with ripe black fruit aromas of blackcurrant and morello cherry blending with hints of violet and finely toasted brioche. This is followed by a generous palate. The attack is fleshy and tender, then the body expresses itself through a most pleasant volume and a framework of comfortable power with incredibly tender tannins. The wine is a perfect illustration of the vintage's quality, with both a greedy, expressive nose and a powerful yet highly digestible, velvety body.
