    In a few words ...

Assembly : 55% merlot, 40% cabernet-sauvignon, 5% petit-verdot vinification : pre-fermentation cold maceration; vinification in stainless-steel vats under constant supervision. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels, 30% of which are new. TASTING : A rather complex year to work with, but a successful vintage. Fruity aromas, with a fine expression of fruit on the nose. Garnet-red color with vermilion highlights. Round and elegant. Long, lingering finish.

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

    Intense ruby to garnet color.

    Aroma

Black fruit notes with blackcurrant and blackberry, followed by empyreumatic scents that vary between vanilla and roasting.

    Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity

    Taste

Marked by a touch of oak and hints of sweet spices, these full-bodied reds are young. After a few years' cellaring, the tannins mellow.

I've always had a soft spot for the Médoc, and am convinced that the crus bourgeois offer excellent value for money. Having never heard of Château Poitevin, this discovery reinforces my conviction.

This wine is phe-no-mé-nal! Unbeatable value for money! A fruity wine with supple, well-integrated tannins and a long finish! A stunning wine! A delight with red meat ;) Simply superb!

Vintage 2015 drunk in May 2020 This wine is simply excellent. Both tannic with lots of flavor. I recommend it .... and I'm going to recommend more Only (small) flaw: it doesn't seem to stand up very well to being kept once opened.

A little disappointed by this wine, to date I've opened four bottles on my order, yet three of them gave me the feeling that this wine is past its limit, with animal notes that are usually found on much older wines. This is surprising for a wine that is "only six years old", and especially from a fine vintage... The fourth bottle, on the other hand, lived up to my expectations. In short, a wine to be drunk immediately, perhaps even yesterday.

Hello, to my taste, this wine still deserves to be waited to be tasted, because the roundness of the fruit is not immediate in the mouth. 1h, the magic happens and it becomes super pleasant to drink.

This Médoc is good, well vinified, the tannins are round, but it's time to drink it - it already lacks a little "body" and fruitiness, and that's unlikely to improve. In short, a good wine, well made but not transcendent either.
