In a few words ...

Classified for its red and white wines, Château Bouscaut was bought in 1979 by Lucien Lurton, who already owned a dozen grands crus, including Brane-Cantenac in Margaux and Climens in Barsac. Sophie Lurton, one of his daughters, took over in 1992, with her husband Laurent Cogombles, an agricultural engineer. They have invested heavily in optimizing their winemaking facilities and restructuring their vineyard of 44 hectares today (34 of which are planted with red grapes), planted on clay-limestone and gravel soils. J. Suckling: 92-93/100
