In a few words ...

Château Cossieu-Coutelin is a Saint-Estephe made from a fine blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep red in color with purple highlights, it reveals a fine bouquet of woody and toasty nuances. Firm and powerful on the palate, with fine tannins. A fine expression of a great terroir, perfect for red and white meats, poultry and a platter of soft cheeses.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

Aroma

The bouquet reveals notes of cassis, violet, mocha, vanilla, spices and licorice.

Taste

The wines of Saint-Estèphe have strong tannins and thus reach their maturity more slowly than most other medals. They offer black fruits, a note of freshness, often a woody or smoky aspect and a floral touch.
