In a few words ...

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand. After the grapes are meticulously sorted, crushed and placed in into thermo-regulated wooden vats, depending on the plot. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 7 to 10 days, and extraction is always extraction is always respectful of the juice, adjusting the number of by adjusting the number of pump-overs according to cuvées and vintages. Maceration lasts around 3 weeks, followed by barrel ageing barrels is carried out batch by batch. The wine is made from young vines from the estate's young vines and from plots that have not yet required to enter into the composition of the Grand Vin. The wine is then aged for 16 to 18 months in in 1-wine French oak barrels, in a cellar maintained at à 15°.

The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.
