    In a few words ...

Premier Cru Classé in 1855, from a selection of the most prestigious terroirs. This entirely bespoke wine is incredibly complex and beautiful, with a sun-kissed color that turns amber with age. Remarkably long-lived, it combines harmonious, powerful aromas of flowers, fruit, candied and roasted grapes. James Suckling ( 95-96 )

Le Guide Hachette des Vins Critique professionnel

"This 2005 is a credit to the rank of this classified growth. Its bright buttercup color is a delight to the eye. The bouquet is not to be outdone: full of dynamism, it delivers sumptuous aromas of spices, honey and honeysuckle on a background of candied fruit. After a full attack, the silky, unctuous palate shows great power and fatness. The long, concentrated finish invites you to cellar this bottle for at least five years."

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

The robe can vary over the entire range of colors from pale gold to coppery gold through straw yellow.

    Aroma

In the main aromatic field of soft and sweet Bordeaux we find the flower, the fresh fruits, the exotic fruits but also spicy notes and empireumatiques (wood, cinnamon, vanilla ...).

Wine Floral | Soft | Spicy

    Taste

The sweet white young are delicious, they are slightly jammy but still retain acidity. With age they evolve on more concentrated aromas, such as the bitter orange confit and small notes of salted butter caramel.
