Since Stéphane Moreau's death at the end of August 2016, his wife Virginie has taken over the domaine and is committed to continuing the direction taken to date. With meticulous work in the vineyard, long ageing and light filtration, the estate's Chablis wines are asserting their character, with depth and salinity. The domaine has now settled on long ageing processes that neither weigh down nor aromatize the local Chardonnay, here harvested just ripe. The result is tasty Chablis that are never overbearing, but perfectly digestible, and age very well. Domaine Moreau-Naudet's Chablis has a magnificent pale yellow, crystal-clear color. The nose is greedy, revealing notes of citrus and white fruits. The palate is elegant and taut, with a remarkable minerality that brings freshness and vivacity.
