In a few words ...
The world-renowned village in the north of the Côte de Nuits. Originally from Dijon, then settled in the Côte de Nuits, the Delaunay family has always had a penchant for this village, and has always distinguished itself by the quality of its wines from this appellation. Our Gevrey is a blend of five parcel selections from the village's different terroirs. Each vinification is adapted to the specific characteristics of the grapes from these original terroirs. The final blend includes 10% whole grapes, which contribute to the wine's freshness and elegance. Ageing in oak barrels lasts 15 months (35% new barrels).

Le nez est superbe, puissant et racé, avec des arômes de cerise, de réglisse, de café et une touche de tarte chaude à la rhubarbe.

Taste
On the palate, cherry and licorice notes return on the finish, with well-integrated oak. The palate is also powerful, with freshness and purity, ending on a saline note.

Clearly my favorite of the evening. Red fruit and peppery notes. Still a little young, don't hesitate to decant. I'm once again seduced by Edouard Delaunay.
