La Cave de L'illEstimated delivery between 2 and May 3,
2009 brings to a close a prodigious decade of sunshine, insolence and generosity. Such a favorable climatic period is unprecedented; the succession of vintages has enabled us to explore the new frontiers of grape maturity in Champagne. Dom Pérignon reaffirms its ambition to go ever further in the quest for its ideal, vintage after vintage. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 is born of two movements: one guided by nature, the other the creative ambition of Dom Pérignon's Champagne Chef de Cave. This synergy allows us to taste the ripest, richest fruit, the extreme fruit that promises the freshness and energy of the future wine.
Appearance
The color is golden, brilliant and dotted with fine bubbles.
Aroma
Spicy guava and green grapefruit zest mingle with stone fruit, white peach and nectarine. The wine breathes, complemented by woody vanilla and warm, lightly toasted brioche.
Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity
Taste
"Full-bodied on the palate, restrained and succulent, with a rather spherical core. The envelope slides and stretches, the complexity grows, skin-deep, more silky than creamy. "The whole finally melts into an exquisite bitterness, iodized and saline.
