R de Ruinart is the signature cuvée of Ruinart, the oldest champagne house, founded in 1729. Cuvée R is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with 25-30% wine from the previous two years. The nose of Ruinart R is poetic, with initial aromas of white-fleshed fruit, accompanied by apricot and almond, which add freshness. On the palate, the Chardonnay grape variety lends a freshness to this exceptional champagne, which is fairly round with a clean attack.
