The estate / the house / the cellar:
jeff carrel apprenticed as a winemaker at Languedoc estates such as de la grange des pères and mas daumas gassac. In 1998, he launched his own consulting company and acquired the domaine de puydeval. The name of this cuvée comes from a boat used on the Mediterranean and Catalan coasts. The grape varieties are 75% Syrah, 15% Carignan and 10% Grenache.
The wine:On the palate, we note the presence of black fruit (blackcurrant), with a touch of spice. The wine expresses a certain roundness, also a suppleness and is very juicy. The finish is very intense. The color is slightly purplish.
Laying down and food pairing:this Côtes du Roussillon will appreciate the company of grilled meats or simply a leg of lamb. It will express all its nobility for 3 to 5 years.
