VINEYARDS: Guyot pruning. Integrated vine management according to the vintage. PRODUCTION: 7500 bottles/ha. VINIFICATION METHOD: Direct pressing, cold settling, temperature-controlled fermentation in vats. AGEING: On lees for 14 months in full tanks with stirring, no Malo. REMARKS: This young Roussanne vineyard is located on a clay-limestone slope just below a wood, protected from the wind, with an easterly exposure. The grapes ripen slowly and smoothly, giving a very sunny expression of this grape variety, without heaviness, as in the ripe vintages of St. Jo or St. Peray, even though we're not on those famous granites here. These vines need a few (ten...) years to give this wine greater depth. MISCELLANEOUS: The Cuvée is called "Les petits cailloux" because the vines from which it is made grew on land strewn with small pebbles. REMARKS: This young Roussanne vineyard is located on a clay-limestone slope just below a wood, protected from the wind and facing east; the grapes ripen slowly and smoothly, giving a very sunny expression of this grape variety, without heaviness, as in the mature vintages of St. Jo or St. Peray, even though we're not on those famous granites here. This vine lacks a few (ten...) years to give greater depth to this wine.
