Sgarzon means vine shoot in Campo Rotaliano. The vines that grow in the Sgarzon vineyard benefit from the cooler climate. It comes from various vineyards totaling 4 hectares located around the village of Mezzolombardo in Trentino, on alluvial soils of predominantly sandy, gravelly and rounded pebbles. Campo Rotaliano lies at the bottom of the valley, framed by steep rock faces, creating a very specific microclimate. Teroldego is an old local grape variety, and after years of work, the estate has been able to recover the best original plants through strict selection. Granato is the estate's grand cuvée, produced only from the oldest vines and only in the best vintages. Whatever the vintage, Granato shows great complexity and depth, combined with remarkable freshness and magnificent finesse, with very silky tannins and an easy-to-digest character, thanks to Elisabetta Foradori's decade-long commitment to biodynamic viticulture.
