Château Verdignan is a superb 19th-century building facing the Gironde estuary. It is one of the oldest wineries in the canton of Pauillac.

Château Coufran has had many owners, but the most famous is undoubtedly Baron de Brane, nicknamed the "Napoleon of the vines". It was he who came up with the idea of making Cabernet the main grape variety in the Médoc!
