The Haut-Médoc vertical 2011 - 2013 - 2015
Château Tour Marcillanet
" Soft mouthfeel, which prefers fruity freshness to tannic power supported by a quality aging. A traditional, well-made Haut-Médoc" (Gilbert & Gaillard about the 2013)
The 2015 combines structure, elegance and body, a beautiful tannic structure and a long finish. The 2011 combines complexity and aromatic intensity, a full-bodied wine with melted tannins and a long, tangy finish.
The presence of vines seems to date back to the 13th century, when the château was built. We find its name in the first Bordeaux wine classifications, notably in the Ferret guide of 1868. It is a human-sized, family-run and autonomous estate. Claire and Marc Ponsar make their wines in the Medoc tradition.
