An iconic version of Kilchoman, Machir Bay, before it was a whisky, was the name of a beautiful, picturesque beach just a short walk from the distillery on the Isle of Islay. This signature single malt is a blend of whiskies aged 90% in ex-first-fill bourbon casks and 10% in Oloroso sherry casks. Each year older, this ageless whisky gains in maturity in the image of the distillery. Heavily peated (50 ppm), neither chill-filtered nor colored, it is characterized by powerful notes of ashy smoke, citrus, white and tropical fruits, enhanced by a saline touch.

Aroma
Powerful, fruity nose. Citrus, vanilla and ashy smoke evolve to pears, juicy peaches and spices.
Taste
Creamy, complex palate. Ashy smoke, iodine, honey, then white and tropical fruits, ending on pastry notes. Persistent sherry finish. Spices, sea salt, cocoa and oily peat.
