Gimonnet-gonet is a rising star. Its brut blanc de blancs champagne "cuvée or", which has since become "l'origine", was selected by the revue du vin de france as the best in its category at the salon des vignerons indépendant de paris 2015. It's a brut sans année, made exclusively with chardonnay from the grand crus of the Côte des Blancs: an airy, lively cuvée, dominated by fresh citrus notes, that will excel at the start of cocktails or as an aperitif. 100% chardonnay. The domaine owns 13.50 hectares, mainly on the terroir of the côte des blancs grands crus: chouilly, cramant, oiry, oger and le mesnil sur oger. This cuvée is a blend of all these terroirs. 30% to 50% reserve wines, depending on the year. Aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months, then aged on laths for 22 to 36 months. Dosage at 6g/l.
