PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA
The TWIL.fr website and TWIL applications are operated by DANTES SAS, which is committed to protecting your personal data and privacy. This section brings together all information relating to the processing of personal data. By accepting these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, you also accept this data management policy.
Data collected and use
The customer’s personal data (first name, last name, company name, email and postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers, password, etc.) is collected by DANTES for the proper management of orders (processing, shipping, invoicing). The user is informed whether providing data is mandatory or optional. If required fields are not completed, no order can be recorded. Furthermore, by voluntarily providing information, the customer undertakes to supply true and accurate information about themselves.
The recipients of this data are those necessary for processing and managing an order. As such, the data may be transmitted to persons and companies mandated by DANTES and responsible for order preparation, transport, customer service, etc.
Data collected specifically by the mobile application is collected solely for the proper functioning of the service. Details are provided below:

Location: to allow you to save tasting locations or to locate a delivery address, position data related to your location is stored only at the time you save a scan and after you have granted permission to access your location.

Contacts: the email addresses of your contacts in your address book may be transmitted to the server to be compared with Twil’s user database, with the sole purpose of showing you which of your contacts also use the application. This occurs only when you access the “add friends” page and if you have given your consent. This data is not stored or cached on the server.

Photos: to help you identify wines from your photos and record your tastings, the photos you take in the application are transmitted to and stored on our servers, after you have given your consent.

Other data: your wine ratings, comments, and reviews are stored on our servers and are shared with other users.
When you use Twil, you have a Twil account that is publicly accessible, allowing other users to follow your activity, namely your wine ratings and reviews. Twil is a community of wine enthusiasts, and our mission is to enable users to share information about wines in order to build their knowledge and guide their choices.
DANTES may disclose customers’ personal data in specific cases: for order payment processing, it is shared with Stripe to secure payments and carry out banking transactions; for delivery of an order placed through the application, it is shared with the carrier responsible for delivery; for statistical processing, it is shared with publishers of analytics solutions (Google Analytics).
DANTES undertakes to ensure that all users’ personal data communicated to third parties in the above-mentioned cases is handled under confidentiality conditions equivalent to those set out herein.
In accordance with Article 6 of Decision No. 2005-112 of 7 June 2005, and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations in this area, personal data relating to customers will be retained for 10 years. Data relating to prospects will be deleted no later than one year after their last contact or when they have not responded to two successive solicitations.
DANTES may also disclose this data to comply with an order from legal authorities.
Newsletter specific case: Email addresses collected for the mailing list are used only to send our newsletters. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email.
Access to data and complaints
In accordance with the French “Informatique et Libertés” law of 6 January 1978, you have a permanent right to object to, access, rectify, and delete all data collected about you. To exercise this right, you may send an email to contact@twil.fr or a postal letter to:

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, the Site has been declared to the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) under number 2017324.

Deletion of data
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act, you have the right to request the deletion of your data. To exercise this right, please send an explicit request by email to service-client@twil.fr, using the email address associated with your account, and clearly stating that you wish all your data to be deleted.
Please note that if you currently have an active subscription, you must first cancel it via your personal space in the “My Account” section. The deletion of personal data can only be carried out once this step has been completed.
