Quintessence" is the estate's great red wine. This micro-cuvée is the result of a rigorous plot selection on the upper slopes, aged in new barrels. This haute-couture Provençal wine has significant ageing potential! This 2015 has a deep, ripe black cherry color with purple highlights. The nose, frank and powerful, is delicately enveloped in black fruit aromas with underlying floral notes. Voluptuous on the palate, with grip, balance, length and silky tannins. Strong persistence, with toasty aromas. blend of mourvèdre, syrah, grenache and old carignan. Slopes to the north and south of Grand Cabri. Clay-limestone "langesse" scree soil (lake limestone from the Tertiary era). A few thousand bottles a year. Aged in oak barrels for 8 months. Aged for 12 to 15 years.
