The two brothers antonio and luigi ulisse continue the legacy of their grandfather, who planted the first vines here in the early 1900s to produce wine for local sale.Today, tenuta ulisse's vineyards extend over 55 hectares around the villages of crecchio and lanciano inland, and ortona on the coast. As a result, the estate boasts a vast mosaic of terroirs, and each grape variety benefits from the optimum conditions for its implantation. If you want to feel and taste the expressive typicity of abruzzo's special grape varieties, such as pecorino, trebbiano d'abruzzo and montepulciano d'abruzzo, you can't miss ulisse! Selectively harvested by hand in 10 kg containers, cooled by dry ice, the grapes arrive intact at the winery. There, they are selected once again to ensure an absolutely pleasant harvest. Grapes destined for rosé and white wines are cooled with nitrogen to -5°c for 3 minutes. Both the labels and the estate logo (horse) speak the language of the wines: the horse is synonymous with freedom, departure and movement, and symbolizes Antonio and Luigi's thirst for innovation.
