The Coonawarra Series grapes come from several Coonawarra plots, mostly in the South, including the "Abbey" vineyard plots. The 2019 vintage allowed for a long ripening period, resulting in high quality grapes. Around 65% of the blend is aged in French oak for 6 to 15 months. A very fine wine to drink young, but which can wait another 5 years in the cellar.

Appearance
Deep ruby red with garnet-red rim.
Aroma
Intense, complex nose with warm notes of cigar box, dark chocolate and cherry. Notes of spice, tobacco leaf and eucalyptus follow.

Taste
The palate is medium-bodied, with flavors of red and black fruit, undergrowth and supple, round tannins. The finish is long and clean.
