In a few words ...
Made from vines between 20 and 50 years old on villafranchian terroir, Avalange represents the estate's parcel biodiversity. The diversity of grape varieties gives it an interesting aromatic palette of blackberry, tobacco and undergrowth. The grapes are harvested by hand, 100% destemmed, and vatted for 21 days, with pumping over and punching down for traditional vinification. Bottled 10 months later with light filtration and minimal doses of sulfur.
