On clay-limestone soil (Jurassic rocks), the Hautes Côtes de Beaune are located on a plateau behind the famous Côte de Beaune, at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters. The soil is east-facing, and orientations vary from south to east, capturing maximum sunlight. The climate is sometimes harsh, with cold, snowy winters and cooler summers, resulting in slower grape ripening. The result is wines marked by freshness, fruit and liveliness. Our expertise lies in balancing this character with subtle ageing to give them roundness and fullness.
