In a few words ...
Cuvée Cascaille is a small production of white Languedoc wine from the Méjanelle terroir. Roussanne and Grenache Blanc share the bottle equally, with other grape varieties, such as Viognier and Carignan Blanc, completing the wine in homeopathic doses. Harvested at night, vinified slowly and cold, the wine is aged almost sulfur-free on fine lees in demi-muids and ovoid concrete vats. This ageing marked a major step forward in our quest for balance between fruitiness and minerality, fatness and tension. Bottled generally in early spring. This cuvée is built on the freshness and length of roussanne and the roundness of white grenache.

Appearance
Pale, bright yellow color, barely tinged with the green of youth.
Aroma
A lovely, complex nose combining fruit (peach, apricot) & white flower aromas.

Taste
Lively, fresh attack with fleshiness; well-balanced, fresh fruit, overall finesse, fragrances of apricot, citrus, clove and a mineral touch of limestone chips. Elegant structure with very fine tannins.

Terroir « les grès », galets roulés sur 5 à 6 mètres et lit d’argiles rouges en profondeur. Le sol est bien drainé. Les galets conservent la fraîcheur matinale et la chaleur accumulée le soir.
