In a few words ...

Cahors is a small wine-growing region on the Lot. In the 19th century, its dark, almost black-red wines competed with Bordeaux. They are traditionally made from malbec, locally known as cot or auxerrois. Today, this grape variety is most often blended with the very supple Merlot. Wines made from the Lot's ancient alluvial deposits are the most complex.
The 1992 vintage brought abundance and dilution. The vines made up for the losses of 1991, but the sun was not out. The red wines have a beautiful dark color, a rich tannic structure and promising aromatic elements.
