In a few words ...

AOC Médoc covers a surface area of 5800 hectares. Its wines can be tannic when young, and benefit from being kept for more than 5 years. Medocs are distinguished by their deep color, fruity bouquet and roundness.
The 1988 vintage is a classic, with an advantage for the Right Bank. Some Pomerols and Saint Emilions eclipsed their 1989 and 1990 cadets in elegance. The red wines were very tannic, very colorful, very complex. These are long-ageing wines, which can be expected to develop a fine, powerful bouquet as they age.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Bright ruby color.

Aroma

The nose is powerful, with aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and hints of licorice.

Taste

The attack on the palate is supple, the texture harmonious and the tannins soft and silky. The aromas of the bouquet are enhanced by a fine woody note. A well-structured wine.
