Hand-picked in small crates, sorted on tables before and after de-stemming. Vatting by gravity in wooden vats. Pre-fermentation maceration. Manual punching down. Run-off into French oak barrels, 50% of which are new. J. Suckling : 93-94/100

Appearance
Ruby hue, with purplish reflection in youth.
Aroma
The notes of red fruits are very concentrated, behind them develop a wide range of aromas including vanilla and leather with aging in barrels.

Taste
The three main varieties of the appellation come together and complement each other to magnify the whole. Merlot brings fruity, when Cabernet Sauvignon gives tannins and Cabernet Franc spicy notes.

A wine with beautiful acidity and tannic structure, powerful spices but ripe red and black fruit to counterbalance and create a balance that is very particular to Fombrauge and found in most vintages.
