The winemaker

Located in Buin-Maipo, 45 km south of Santiago in the famous Maipo Valley, the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile bodega stands at the heart of an exceptional terroir. Its sober, elegant architecture combines steel and wood, reflecting the desire to combine the latest technologies with the great tradition of Bordeaux winemaking. It houses the winemaking, ageing and packaging processes, under the supervision of a French oenologist and the control of an integrated laboratory. In the valley, the bodega owns many hectares of its own vineyards, and has contracts with winemakers who ensure the rigorous selection of grapes. This is how the story of the men and women who have made it possible to produce quality wines in Chile over the years continues to be written.
