La Maison Chanzy's Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is a wine for great ageing and gastronomy. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels (30% of which are new), followed by 5 months affinage in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
"The nose is reminiscent of a basket of red fruit, enhanced by a discreet woodiness. On the palate, we discover a clos-de-vougeot with a fresh structure, a little lively even for the taste of some jurors, but which offers a good marriage of wood and fruit, vigorous tannins and length. Built for long ageing.
