Margaux wines are among the most pleasant and aromatic. The whole world envies their sweet fruity, spicy and smoky aromas, the distinction of their tannins and the right balance between alcohol and acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon, the emblematic Médoc grape variety, covers 60% of the appellation, providing structure, bouquet and ageing potential. The wines have a dense, dark garnet color. After ageing, the tannic structure is fine, supple and elegant, with a magnificent length on the palate
everything is beautiful about this 1989 vintage, except for some high-yielding enthusiasts whose wines have passed their prime. The finest bottles of red are to be found in pauillac, saint julien, pessac léognan and saint emilion.
