Excelsior 2012 17/20 This wine comes from a 2.30 ha parcel of 80-year-old vines located in La Chapelle-Heulin. Excelsior 2012 was aged on lees for only 24 months, as everything was in place in this precocious wine. Taut and spicy, it offers great charm and potential. Its complex, sharp white pepper finish is magnificent. Creamy and lemony, the 2010 (16.5/20) combines finesse and freshness. Firm, precise and tight, the 2007 (16.5/20) is still taut and very young. 2005 (17/20) will enchant you with its notes of quince and yellow fruit, while 2002 (17/20) stands out with its minty freshness and spicy, invigorating sap.
