The winemaker

The area Emile Beyer is historically well established in the Grand Cru Eichberg and Pfersigberg and represent a third of the planted areas. In their immediate vicinity are the localities Premiers Crus Hohrain, Sundel and St. Jacques. Each region reveals its subtlety and uniqueness with a vine growing in organic farming. SOIL Limestone is inseparable from the creation of great wines. He brings finesse and delicacy that we are looking for our wines and the inimitable salinity key. If Eguisheim is a mosaic of terroirs, our plot is essentially located on limestone hills. A CLIMATE The field of vines benefit from extreme weather. The Vosges Mountains block the clouds from the west and creates a microclimate. Eguisheim is thus one of the driest vineyards in France. LUCAS ENDED Upon the sale of national assets in 1792, Lucas Beyer full ownership by acquiring vineyards among the most exposed of Eguisheim. In his tribute, the heart of our plots classified grand cru Pfersigberg today takes the name "Clos Lucas Beyer."
