The winemaker

The estate's vineyards lie in the towns of Wintzenheim - partly on the Grand Cru Hengst, flagship of our map - Turckheim Ingersheim, Colmar and Wihr-au-Val. The entire range of Alsace wines is this: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Black. They also develop Late Harvest and Selection de Grains Nobles and their own Crémant d'Alsace brut, rosé, white black. The farm buildings are in Wintzenheim, cradle of the Alsatian vineyard (the place name Wintzenheim is to be related to the Latin word Vinetum, place planted with vines). They consist of a winery dating from the early 1800s which is used for aging bottles. A newer winery houses the vinification cellars. The vineyard, located on the foothills of the Vosges, between 200 and 450 meters above sea level, enjoys maximum sunlight thanks to the particularly high altitude vineyards. These features promote a slow and prolonged maturation of the grapes and the blossoming of aromas of great finesse. The domain must, in large part, to its qualitative development mosaic exploited soils: granite limestone, through the clay, or the grave; This wide variety of soils is conducive to the development of all Alsatian wines. In the cellar, they combine innovation and tradition. All wines are being vinified in modern winery built in 2003 with equipment at the cutting edge of progress. This allows them to ensure the highest quality in their wines.
