The winemaker

Created in 1964 by Paul Zinck, the family estate has undergone many changes under the leadership of his son Philippe since his arrival in 1997. Today led by Philippe and his wife Pascale, the Zinck estate covers 20 hectares south west of Colmar in the towns of Eguisheim and Gueberschwihr and on so-called exceptions to these common places: Eichberg, Pfersigberg and Goldert. The expertise of the field Zinck is to create a subtle balance between modernity and tradition. The wines made in the greatest respect for terroir, vine and fruit, combine freshness, purity and authenticity. Respect the land and produce wines with their own identity is the philosophy of the domain. The great diversity of soils (silty clay loam and clay and limestone) allow them to grow all the Alsatian varietals: Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Black, Sylvaner, etc., a large party in Grand Cru. They also produce Crémant d'Alsace as well as late harvest - Selection Grains Nobles, namely those soft sweet wine with the same fungus or noble rot (botritys cinerea) the origin of the wines of Sauternes.
