The winemaker

Located in the heart of the vineyards of Alsace, in Sigolsheim, exploiting the vineyards of the family SPARR 15 hectares owned and operated by 130 hectares savvy winemakers. Le Clos Sainte Odile with its stunning terraces built in the early twentieth century, dominates its steep old town of Obernai. Located outside of Piedmont des Vosges, the hill offers unparalleled sunshine thanks to its southern exposure, Southeast. In addition, his character windy dry land and grapes, offered him an exceptional maturity. His ground limestone, where the rock outcrops everywhere, offers complex wines and expressing to perfection the terroir. The conduct of the vine with limiting yields is in compliance with the vine and grapes are harvested by hand to preserve all the character of this fabulous land. In the cellar, all the work is focused on respect aromas preserving the oxidation of juice. The wines of Clos Ste Odile express themselves with finesse and elegance, while benefiting from the power of the Earth and exceptional length. These dry wines balanced and have excellent skills with aging and are perfect for fine dining. Alexandra Boudrot working with us for 12 years as winemaker and vineyard manager followed in helping men, vines and terroir to give the best of them. Daughter Bourguignon, its rich experience comes from his home region and its experience at the Maison Pierre Sparr Successors. With the new winery dedicated to wines and sparkling wines of Maison Pierre Sparr Successors, she will continue the adventure by taking responsibility for winemaking our wines keeping course, the spirit of the house.
