The winemaker

Sipp Mack, fruit of the union of two wine families, took off in 1959 at the wedding of Francois Sipp from Ribeauvillé and Marie Louise Mack Hunawihr. In 1983, after the wine education, wine, and commercial, and two years of professional experience gained in the wineries in the United States, Jacques returned to Alsace to work on the family farm with his parents. He will return along with Laura, Californian graduate in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of California, Davis. They will bring to the area a new vision on the hinges operations of viticulture and winemaking. Their desire to offer high quality wines that best reflect their terroir, encourage them to reconcile environmental and Alsatian traditions. For the recognition of the personal commitment of each and valuing teamwork, they tend to create a fulfilling and dynamic work atmosphere. It is therefore no surprise that the area has been transformed over the years and today 50% of wines are available in many foreign markets. Despite these relatively rapid change, the field wants to preserve its family nature. Local customers mingles with French and foreign wine lovers looking for authenticity, sharing conversations (often multilingual) around a "Stammtisch" with ease.
