In a few words ...
The domaine was founded on January 1, 2002 in Montesquieu des Albères in the Pyrénées-Orientales region. From the outset, the vines have been grown organically, and the vinification process is natural, with no inputs, indigenous yeasts, sulfur, fining or filtration. Bottling is carried out by hand, without pumps, using gravity. The estate currently covers 15 hectares and produces around 30,000 bottles a year. The vines are all located on the foothills of the Albères mountains, on a soil composed of granitic arena and gneiss. The Mediterranean influence plays a major role in the balance of the wines, bringing freshness, finesse and lightness. They favor working the soil with sheep manure and organic fertilizers to increase the microbial life in the soil, an important factor in the vine's development. Tractor ploughing is still used today, but 20% of the vines are worked by animal traction with their "uma" mules.
