The majority of my vines grow on slopes, some very steep slope which limits mechanization and accentuates erosion problems. In the steepest plots all work is done manually. I own some vineyards where mechanization is possible. Of these I practice plowing in autumn or spring. This work helps to aerate the land and help the roots to draw minerals deep in the ground.
