The winemaker
Jean-Paul Brun founded the Golden Land in 1979 with 4 hectares of vines in Charnay south of Beaujolais. This region enjoys a warmer and more limestone than Beaujolais north with its granite soil. The area is 30 hectares and is grown organically. From the beginning, the area of John Paul differs from its neighbors Beaujolais: it does not chaptalize and advocates a traditional vinification. Although it is not an adherent of natural wine, wine is one of the most natural of Beaujolais.
