The winemaker
The exploitation of vineyards in the Beaujolais by Chatelus-Roudon family dates back to the 18th century. Located in the municipality of Létra in the heart of the land of golden stones, Mr. Chatelus, the grandfather of the current owner Didier Roudon was a cooperative wine from 1970, also practicing mixed farming and livestock. When, in 1991, Didier Roudon takes the reins of the family winery, he wants to become independent winemaker. In 2001, a cellar for vinification and aging wines is built: the Domaine du Charverron born. And the rewards are quick: Gold Medal 2001 to contest the Two Bottles of Villefranche sur Saône for his first vintage, selection in the Guide Hachette, medals at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris, Mâcon ...
