The winemaker

The Spay family, owners since 1920, operates 24 hectares of vines on 6 appellations: Saint-Amour, Julienas, Moulin à Vent, Pouilly-Fuisse, Burgundy and White Crémant de Bourgogne. Our house dates from 1780. It is located on the hill of the church overlooking the Saône valley to the south. Our wines are characterized firstly by the affirmation of each terroir with a traditional Beaujolais vinification. Gamay reveals floral aromas of violet and peony and red fruit nuances of strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant. The Chardonnay from very old vines offers a refreshing white wine with aromas of citrus, quince and almond. In the spirit of sharing and conviviality, our family has always favored the visitor to the property and in our cellars.
