The winemaker

Beaujolais represents 18 000 hectares of vines. The Chopin Raphael area occupies 5 hectares particularly well-situated with a southern exposure semi-hills on clay-limestone soils of the Beaujolais-Villages The Savoye; schist and ancient volcanic rocks for Morgon; and pink granite for the Régnié. Young vines (March 1989) alongside older, gnarled feet, planted in 1905. Yields are small: 50 hl / ha on average, 35 hl / ha. Gamay, prince of the region is the only grape used in Beaujolais. It is through the soil and inimitable climate of our region you discover the generosity of our wines.
