In a few words ...
The birth of Charlie, the family's first granddaughter, during the grape harvest, gave birth to this wine for special occasions. From our finest parcel of old vines, this blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested, sorted, de-stemmed and filled by hand into open barrels. It then undergoes a gentle, natural vinification, with daily punching of the cap, followed by 18 months' barrel ageing. Produced in very limited quantities and only in the best years, unfined and unfiltered, this powerful, full-bodied wine will take you on a journey.
