The winemaker

Located on the right bank of the Garonne, near the village of Cubnezais in the Côtes de Blaye, this area of ​​60 hectares is a family for 5 generations; the renovation of this area taken in 1961 by Daniel BANTEGNIES is now continued by his two son Eric and Frantz, both graduates in viticulture and oenology. This is the largest field of Culture "lyre" of France. This method of pruning and vine growing developed by the National Institute of Research Agrobiological (INRA), helps make them more flattering silky tannins, without astringency or bitterness. Thanks to the leaf surface two times higher than in traditional culture, lyre vine improves photosynthesis, early maturity and decreases greatly the risk of rot.
