The winemaker

The vineyard of Château Bichon Cassignols is located twenty kilometers from Bordeaux, south-east, on a deep gravel plateau in the village of La Brede, adjacent to the appellation "Pessac-Léognan" north of the Graves appellation which he belongs. The vineyard currently includes 12.50 hectares planted with vines cultivated in organic farming Its soil is a mixture of pebbles, sand and clay deposited by the Garonne in the glacial episodes, with the presence of a ferruginous hardpan layer called characteristic Gironde on the left bank of the Garonne. The European specifications "Organic Wine" supervises and controls the winemaking practices, determines a positive list of products and fixed much lower sulfur limits using the values ​​in force in the "conventional" wine.
