The winemaker
The CARUEL CHATEAU is an old family property. Charles Auduteau, the winemaker ancestor, in 1730, already out on the field of the nucleus. Peter, a hundred years later, conducts expansions and rebuilt the front of the house as it stands today. From 1922, four generations later, John Hector, and then, around 1960 Francis, restructuring the vineyard. To date, the CARUEL CASTLE vineyard located 35 km from Bordeaux and 2 km west of Bourg sur Gironde, continues to be operated by the Auduteau family.
