The winemaker

Getting to know us Château des Mille Anges snuggled in the heart of Saint Germain village of Graves, small commune of the Gironde, a few steps from the church. Heather van Ekris bought the property in September 1994, attracted by the unique panorama offered by the castle on the tormented hills "Premières Côtes de Bordeaux," but especially by the exceptional terroir of the vineyard. Indeed, for over 300 years, these lands allow men to produce fine wines, racy and elegant. Ms van Ekris, growing up in Devon (England) and spent part of his life in Africa and the USA and realized a longtime dream of becoming a "winemaker". Since the takeover, many investments have been made: Rehabilitation vineyard plots, construction of a new barrel cellar and a storage room, renovation and expansion of the chest ... It is important to note that, since 2012, we are very pleased to have an advisor and consultant owner of Chateau Angelus, Hubert de Boüard and his team.
