The winemaker

Installed in hilly and sunny landscapes of the right banks of the Dordogne, more precisely in the Gironde as Little Switzerland is called the region Côtes de Bourg, the vineyards of Château Les Rocques has 15 hectares. They are located on various soils, where there is clay-limestone soils with basements stony, clay or ocher land, more or less mixed with gravel. It is this particular and original terroir, benefiting from an oceanic microclimate where the hot summers alternate with mild winters, which signs this great wine. Beyond the vineyards, the view runs away and gets lost in the muddy waters of the Dordogne. These vineyards produce another wine, Château Haut-Barateau that it comes from younger vines.
